Golf tournaments

Sell foursomes, sponsorships and add-ons for charity golf tournaments

One page for teams, singles, hole sponsors, mulligan packs and the dinner — with player names collected up front so pairings are done before check-in.

How this type of ticketing works

Charity golf outings raise most of their money outside the green fee: hole sponsorships, mulligan packages, raffle tickets, and the dinner. Collecting all of that through email and checks is what makes these events exhausting to run.

TixSimple puts everything on one registration page. A Foursome ticket collects four player names and handicaps through custom fields, singles get paired later, sponsors buy their level right on the page, and the dinner is an add-on ticket. Everyone receives a QR code for check-in at the clubhouse.

What to set up in TixSimple

    1. 1Create the tournament event with your date, course, and shotgun start time.
    2. 2Add ticket types: Foursome, Single Player, Dinner Only, Student/Junior.
    3. 3Add sponsorship ticket types by level: Hole, Cart, Beverage, Title Sponsor.
    4. 4Add mulligan packs, raffle bundles, and skins as add-on tickets.
    5. 5Use custom fields for player names, handicaps, shirt sizes, and dietary needs.
    6. 6Add a name-your-price donation ticket for supporters who cannot play.

Fee example: Foursome registration including carts and lunch

A $600 ticket carries a TixSimple platform fee of $8.13 (1.3% + $0.33). If you sell 25 tickets, the total platform fee is $203.25. Stripe processing is separate and you choose whether to pass fees to the buyer or absorb them.

    Sponsorships, donations and post-event follow-up

Sponsor levels sell better when the benefits are listed where people pay. Give each level its own ticket type with a clear description and limited inventory — scarcity on a Title Sponsor slot does real work.

After the outing, export every registration and donation to CSV for your acknowledgment letters, and keep the same page live next year with updated dates.

    Frequently asked questions

Can one purchase cover four players?

Yes. A Foursome ticket can collect four sets of attendee details in a single checkout, so the captain registers the whole team at once and you still get every player's name.

How do we sell hole sponsorships?

Create a ticket type for each sponsorship level with its own price, description, and quantity. Sponsors check out like anyone else, and you can collect their logo file link or company details in a custom field.

Can we accept donations from people who are not playing?

Yes. Add a name-your-price donation ticket with a suggested amount and a minimum, and it appears alongside the playing options.

Is there a fee on sponsorship payments?

Sponsorships sold as tickets carry the same 1.3% + 33¢ platform fee plus Stripe's processing fee. Checks handled offline can be recorded by issuing a comped ticket at no platform cost.
